Socso incentive claims land four Melaka company directors in court

Four company directors from Melaka appeared in court on August 12, 2024, charged with submitting false claim documents to the Social Security Organisation (Perkeso). The accused - Henry Ratnaike, Koh Kai Loon, Gan Pay Kiat, and Ling Yate May - were accused of providing fabricated information to Perkeso agents to deceive the agency in 2024.

Henrey Ratnaike and Gan Pay Kiat appeared before Ayer Keroh Sessions Court, while Koh Kai Loon and Ling Yate May were charged with abetting Henry Ratnaike. If found guilty, the accused could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of at least RM50,000, or five times the monetary value of the false information. Bail was granted at RM15,000 per accused, with additional conditions including surrendering passports and monthly reporting to the nearest MACC office.
