Pixel Buds Pro 2 get ‘dynamic’ ANC, sleep sync, and more next month, Olive color available now

Google has introduced a fresh colorway and software upgrade for its Pixel Buds Pro 2 earbuds. The Buds Pro 2 now come in Olive, the same hue found on the latest Pixel 11 Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold models. This color option joins Hazel, Porcelain, Peony, and Moonstone as available shades to complement your Pixel phone or accent your style. The outer shell of the Olive Buds Pro 2 features the Olive hue, while the inner plastic shell remains black. The case, however, remains in plain white.

Alongside the new color, Google is rolling out an update for the Pixel Buds Pro 2. This software patch improves the earbuds' noise cancellation, ensuring consistent performance even during vigorous activities like jumping jacks. Additionally, Gemini now supports audio adjustments, allowing users to tweak bass and treble levels based on the content they're listening to. Another noteworthy update is the sync with Pixel Watch, which automatically pauses music when the user falls asleep, detected by the watch.

Live Translate support has expanded to over 70 languages for Pixel Buds users, and Google’s integration with its ecosystem remains strong. Pixel Tag owners can now use their earbuds to locate or ring their missing Pixel Tag without needing to pull out their phone. The Pixel 11-matching Olive-colored Pixel Buds Pro 2 are available for order today, while the improved noise cancellation, sleep sync, and other updates are set to launch in September. The Pixel 11 series is currently available for pre-order.
