Kaizer Chiefs win, Edward Maova stands tall as Golden Arrows hold City in rain-affected KZN derby

In a rain-soaked KZN derby at Chatsworth Stadium on Wednesday night, Lamontville Golden Arrows held Durban City to a goalless draw, thanks in large part to the outstanding performance of goalkeeper Edward Maova. The Arrows goalkeeper was instrumental in the visitors' resistance, making several crucial saves from close range late in the game after City had their best spell after the break.

Despite City's early dominance and several chances to break the deadlock, they struggled to create clear opportunities in the wet conditions. Arrows' coach Pitso Dladla made substitutions in the second half in an effort to gain an edge, but neither team could find the back of the net. The match began about 15 minutes late due to a late inspection of the waterlogged pitch, which made smooth play difficult for both sides.

The pointless draw marked Arrows' first goalless draw of the season, while City remained winless in their opening two league matches. A KZN derby against Richards Bay awaits City in the near future.
