Simba SC beat Kaizer Chiefs to Neo Maema signature

Neo Maema will return to Tanzania for another season, despite interest from South African clubs in the Betway Premiership. The midfielder's successful stint at Simba SC last year has led to a new deal for his return to East Africa. Although Kaizer Chiefs were monitoring his situation, Simba has secured his loan from Mamelodi Sundowns, where he was surplus to requirements.

Maema has avoided commenting on potential moves to Naturena, but it seems Simba has outbid Amakhosi for his signature. A source confirmed to Mgosi Squad that while several PSL clubs showed interest, Maema is already back in Tanzania and feels appreciated, thus he will continue his football career with Simba. Simba is coached by South African Steve Barker, and former Sundowns defender Rushine De Reuck is also part of the team.
