Zaliha pans walkout ‘stunt’, says PN not serious about TH report

PKR vice-president Dr Zaliha Mustafa has dismissed the Perikatan Nasional (PN) MPs' walkout during a special Dewan Rakyat sitting on the Tabung Haji (TH) royal commission of inquiry (RCI) report as a "stunt" and claimed it showed the opposition coalition's lack of sincerity in debating the report. The Sekijang MP emphasized that the walkout demonstrated that PN was not serious about defending the interests of Muslims in the country, especially while the Dewan Rakyat is meant to address findings, challenge decisions, and engage in debates regarding these matters.

Zaliha urged PN to utilize the Dewan Rakyat platform for addressing concerns rather than resorting to political stunts during crucial discussions involving funds belonging to TH depositors. She criticized the opposition for claiming to champion transparency, trust, and Islamic values but failing to stand by their words when faced with the facts in the Dewan Rakyat.
