Vietnam's VinSpace signs SpaceX launch deal for 2027

HANOI - VinSpace, a subsidiary of Vietnamese corporation Vingroup, has entered into a launch agreement with SpaceX for its satellite missions, the company announced on Tuesday (August 11). The satellites from VinSpace will be transported aboard a SpaceX Transporter rideshare mission in 2027, sharing the flight with other clients.

VinSpace is responsible for the entire lifecycle of the satellites, from research and development to in-orbit operations. This partnership aligns with VinSpace's strategic goals of expanding its expertise throughout the space industry, including satellite design, manufacturing, assembly, integration, launch management, operations, and data services.

These missions are anticipated to facilitate in-orbit technology assessments, satellite capability enhancement, international cooperation, and potential commercial uses. VinSpace was established last November with an initial investment of 300 billion dong (approximately US$11.4 million). The majority stake in VinSpace is held by Vingroup's founder, Pham Nhat Vuong.
