Trump secretly flown from Turkey to UK amid Iran assassination threat – Reports

US President Donald Trump was secretly transported from Turkey to Britain on a smaller military aircraft in July amid an alleged Iranian assassination threat, according to reports by The Washington Post and The New York Times. While the White House publicly claimed Trump was traveling on Air Force One, the deception occurred during his NATO summit visit in Ankara.

Trump initially boarded the former Air Force One, but was reportedly moved to another aircraft using an airport catering truck. A US official confirmed the operation was prompted by a credible threat from Iran. The White House maintained that Trump departed Turkey on July 8 aboard the older Boeing 747-8 aircraft donated by Qatar, which had undergone security upgrades.

However, the Post reported that Trump was actually transported to the older Air Force One shortly before departure. The operation involved Trump boarding the older presidential aircraft through a different entrance, with journalists instructed to keep the window shades closed during the flight. US staff members also believed Trump was aboard the aircraft.

The C-32A carrying Trump arrived in Britain at 10:20pm, with the older Air Force One and media traveling separately.
