Trump hid in catering truck in secret plane swap over Iran threat, reports say

On a recent visit to Turkey for a NATO summit, US President Donald Trump found himself in an unusual situation. Reports indicate that he secretly swapped planes in order to respond to an alleged threat from Iran. The operation involved a catering truck being used to transport the president covertly. As the president arrived at Ankara airport, he was seen boarding Air Force One by television cameras.

However, according to US media sources, the president was then transferred to a smaller C-32A military aircraft using a catering truck that had been elevated to the level of the plane. This move was said to be intended to appear as if Trump was simply changing aircraft. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was reported to have boarded the C-32A separately using external stairs, in an attempt to maintain appearances.

The operation was carried out with the purpose of thwarting any potential Iranian threats. Journalists and some White House staff on board Air Force One were reportedly unaware of the secret transfer. The president flew to the UK en route to the US, where he reboarded the original Air Force One. It remains unclear how he moved back to the legacy aircraft.

Upon his return to Washington, Trump addressed reporters on board the new Qatari-donated Air Force One, mentioning the threats posed by Iran without revealing the earlier plane swap. Trump's comments also revealed that he considered himself to be "number one" on Iran's list of targets. White House officials have not confirmed the plane swap, but have emphasized that the new aircraft is equipped with state-of-the-art security measures to protect the president and his staff.
