Trump makes sweeping new demands on Iran as deal hopes dim

In a social media post, Trump emphasized his request for Iran to compensate for casualties caused by roadside bombs and numerous conflicts.

Furthermore, he demanded reparation for the hundreds of thousands of innocent protestors Iran has killed over the past five decades. These demands, intended to be incorporated into "all future negotiations," are expected to be met with rejection by Iran. The new demands follow Tehran's insistence on seeking compensation for the joint U.S.-Israeli military action launched on February 28.

Shortly after his remarks, Trump broadened his demands, asserting that Iran should be held accountable for damages and losses suffered by the populations of Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Gaza, without providing any specifics.
