You can’t stop God’s project, Davido slams APC over Adeleke

Afrobeats artist Davido criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) for allegedly hindering progress in Osun State, following the inauguration of the Lagere Flyover by his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke. The singer expressed his support for the governor and his administration through videos and comments on social media.

Davido questioned why the APC would go to such lengths to prevent progress, seemingly mocking the presence of influencers and supporters at the event. The Lagere Flyover, costing approximately ₦14.9bn, was constructed to alleviate traffic congestion around a key commercial and transport hub in Ile-Ife. As the August 15 Osun State governorship election approaches, in which Adeleke is seeking re-election, Davido's comments reflect his longstanding backing of the governor rather than a new endorsement.
