Visoid raises $2.5M to expand AI visualisation platform for architects

Oslo-based AI startup Visoid has secured $2.5 million in funding to bolster its AI visualisation platform for architects and aid its global expansion. Led by Skyfall Ventures, the round also saw investments from StartupLab, OBOS, Antler, Farvatn, and byFounders Angel Collective. Founded in 2023 by architect Mark Szoke and serial entrepreneur Joachim Holwech, Visoid creates an AI-powered visualisation platform tailored for architectural workflows.

The software converts 3D models into high-quality visuals in minutes while retaining the original design intent, enabling architects to test various ideas and convey designs without depending on conventional rendering methods. The company is capitalizing on the increasing adoption of AI in the early stages of architectural design.

Visoid allows architects to visualize and assess different concepts while designs are still in progress, rather than solely generating final images. Unlike generic image generators, the platform works seamlessly with existing architectural models and workflows, enabling users to refine designs while keeping consistency with the overarching project.

With this fresh capital, Visoid aims to bolster its engineering, product, and commercial teams, develop more AI capabilities for architectural workflows, broaden its international customer base, and strengthen ties with architecture and design firms. CEO Mark Szoke expressed his optimism, stating that the financing provides a strong foundation for Visoid to scale for larger, design-focused workflows, and the application is ready for architects across the globe.
