Oslo-based Visoid raises €2.1 million to scale its AI visualisation platform for architects

Visoid, an Oslo-based AI visualisation platform for architects and industry professionals, has successfully raised €2.1 million ($2.5 million) in funding to fuel its next growth phase. The investment round was spearheaded by Skyfall Ventures, with support from existing investors StartupLab, OBOS, and Antler, as well as new investors Farvatn and byFounders Angel Collective.

Visoid CEO Mark Szoke noted that architects have been using the same software for the past 30 years and were hesitant to adopt new technologies. However, they are rapidly embracing Visoid's AI-powered visualisation platform, which transforms existing 3D models into high-quality visuals within minutes while preserving the original design intent.

This platform aims to expedite the design process, enhance communication, and enable better decision-making for architects, bypassing traditional rendering workflows. Joachim Holwech, Visoid's Chief Product Officer, emphasized the importance of AI in understanding architectural models, retaining design intent, and seamlessly integrating into professional workflows.

Both founders boast extensive domain expertise and a strong technical background in AI and machine learning, coupled with a natural business acumen. Preben Songe-Møller, Partner and co-founder at Skyfall Ventures, highlighted the combination of Szoke and Holwech's deep industry knowledge and technical prowess, along with their innate commercial instincts.

Visoid presently employs nine individuals and anticipates doubling its workforce by year-end. The company also intends to accelerate the development of new AI capabilities tailored specifically for architectural workflows, expand its international clientele, and strengthen collaborations with leading architecture and design firms.
