Over 24,000 benefit from 'Our Summer: Learning and Creativity' in Asir

The Asir Education Department's summer initiative, "Our Summer: Learning and Creativity," successfully reached over 24,000 students this year. This program was designed to engage both male and female students from general education and those with disabilities, providing a range of activities to make the most of the summer break while developing their skills and abilities. The initiative partnered with 24 government, private, and non-profit organizations to ensure a quality educational experience for all participants.

Among the 20 diverse summer initiatives, several stood out. The "Little Explorer 2" program catered specifically to students with disabilities, offering tailored activities to accommodate their needs. Another notable program was the summer sports initiative, which encompassed 13 different sports and attracted participation from 15,213 enthusiastic students.

Additionally, the KAUST Summer Program for Artificial Intelligence and the Virtual Summer Enrichment Program for Gifted Students provided unique opportunities for students to explore cutting-edge technology and nurture their intellectual curiosity.

The summer sports program, in particular, was a resounding success, with various sports attracting a large and diverse group of participants. Meanwhile, the specialized programs for students with disabilities, including "Little Explorer 2," touched the lives of 34 students, while "Little Explorer 2" itself engaged 42 children through six different activities.

The KAUST Summer Program for Artificial Intelligence operated at two centers, welcoming 50 participants eager to dive into the world of AI. Lastly, the Virtual Summer Enrichment Program for Gifted Students offered three captivating tracks, benefiting 32 gifted students eager to further hone their talents.

Together, these programs exemplify the Asir General Directorate of Education's commitment to providing an engaging and enriching environment during the summer months. By offering a wide array of educational, sports, and recreational activities, the department has not only enhanced the quality of educational programs but also fostered students' creativity, skills, and overall summer experience.
