Russia Fired 61 Missiles at Ukraine in a Week, 56 on Ballistic Trajectories — Zelenskyy

During the past week, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Russia launched 61 missiles at Ukraine, with 56 of them traveling on ballistic trajectories. This included the use of over 1,560 attack drones and 1,540 guided aerial bombs against Ukrainian targets. In Odesa and its surrounding area, emergency crews were working to restore electricity following a Russian strike on energy infrastructure, causing damage to residential buildings and a port.

Eight people were injured across Odesa. In Kharkiv, a Russian drone destroyed four floors of a residential high-rise building, killing two people and injuring dozens. In Pavlohrad, Russian forces targeted a shopping center and energy infrastructure, injuring nine people, including four children. Zelenskyy urged international partners to impose stricter sanctions on Russia and deliver more air defense systems and interceptor missiles to Ukraine.

He emphasized that shortages of air defense interceptors, especially for Patriot systems, were limiting Ukraine's ability to defend itself against Russia's ballistic missile attacks.
