Jake Bauers’ hitting and Luis Lara’s fielding prove pivotal as Brewers beat Twins 4-3 in 10 innings

The decisive moment arrived in the bottom of the 10th when Luis Lara executed a remarkable catch at the wall, preventing a run from scoring. This defensive play was followed by Jake Bauers' one-out single to shallow left, which brought home the winning run for the Brewers, scoring Brice Turang.

The play was confirmed by replay review, with home plate umpire Chad Whitson making the call. Bauers had also driven in a run earlier in the game with a fifth-inning home run. The Brewers had left runners on third and second in the sixth inning and stranded men on first and second in the seventh and ninth. Minnesota had tied the game at 3-all following Brooks Lee's two-run homer in the sixth inning.

Lee and Kody Clemens also contributed with a homer each, aiding the Twins in the series. Minnesota's Jacob Misiorowski pitched six innings, allowing three runs and four hits while striking out nine, which solidified his major league-leading total of 204 strikeouts. The Twins are set to open a three-game home series with the Baltimore Orioles, while the Brewers head to San Diego for a West Coast trip, with Logan Henderson and Casey Mize set to start their respective series openers.
