Fernandez secures dominant British MotoGP victory, Martin extends championship lead

Marco Bezzecchi made a remarkable return from a collarbone fracture, leading a 1-2-4-5 finish for Aprilia in Friday's practice session at the MotoGP British Grand Prix held at Silverstone. After uncertainty about his fitness following a crash at the German Grand Prix and a fluctuating form, Bezzecchi broke the circuit record by nearly a second.

Trackhouse's Ai Ogura initially set the fastest lap but was surpassed by Bezzecchi and his Aprilia teammate Raul Fernandez in the final minutes of the session. The Spaniard Jorge Martin took fourth place, while Jorge Martin climbed from 17th to fourth. Ogura ended the session in fifth, just ahead of Marc Marquez. The session also saw Fabio di Giannantonio finishing third on the VR46 Ducati, and KTM rider Pedro Acosta crashing at Brooklands with five minutes remaining.
