KSRTC to launch inter-State Flybus service from Bengaluru airport to Kozhikode from August 15

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will introduce an inter-State Flybus service linking Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru with Kozhikode, Kerala, commencing on August 15. This new premium airport bus service aims to provide seamless connectivity for air passengers traveling between Bengaluru airport and north Kerala, as well as serving passengers from Mysuru, Kodagu, and surrounding areas, according to KSRTC officials.

The KSRTC Flybus is a premium, non-stop Volvo multi-axle coach service that connects KIA with major cities in Karnataka, such as Mysuru, Madikeri, Kundapur, and Davangere. It offers a comfortable, flight-like travel experience and includes complimentary snack kits with water, beverages, and local snacks. The Flybus is scheduled to depart from KIA at 10.45 p.m. daily, reaching Kozhikode at 7.15 a.m. the following morning. The return journey departs Kozhikode at 7.30 p.m. and arrives at Bengaluru airport at 4.15 a.m.

The en route route includes stops at Yelahanka, Hebbal, Nayandahalli Metro Station, Mysuru, Hunsur, Gonikoppa, Ponnampet, Kutta, Mananthavadi, and Kalpetta, ensuring direct airport connectivity for passengers traveling from these regions. The ticket fare from Kempegowda International Airport to Kozhikode is set at ₹1,500 per passenger, with intermediate fares for Mysuru, Gonikoppa, Mananthavadi, and Kalpetta priced at ₹960, ₹1,200, ₹1,350, and ₹1,400 respectively.

KSRTC officials stated that the new service is a significant milestone for the corporation's airport connectivity network, offering a convenient and reliable travel option for air passengers from Kerala, Kodagu, and Mysuru. The KSRTC Flybus service was initially launched in 2013 with a single multi-axle Volvo bus operating between KIA and Mysuru, gaining popularity due to its convenience and direct airport connectivity.
