Kadjebi-Asato SHS seals 2026 NSMQ nationals place after commanding regional display

Kadjebi-Asato Senior High School has been assured a berth at the 2026 National Science and Maths Quiz Championship following their impressive performance in the Oti Regional qualifiers. The school outperformed their rivals Biakoye Community SHS and Nkwanta SHS, displaying a relentless lead from the onset of the competition.

The team began with a bang, amassing 28 points, while Nkwanta SHS lagged behind with 14 points, and Biakoye Community SHS trailing further with just three points. The school's dominance continued into the Speed Race round, where they correctly answered the first two questions, thus widening their lead.

Even though Nkwanta SHS put up a valiant effort to stay in the race, maintaining a respectable 25 points, they were unable to bridge the gap. Kadjebi-Asato SHS, on the other hand, managed to secure 52 points, leaving a significant margin over their rivals.

The assurance of their place in the 2026 Nationals Championship was sealed in the Riddle Bonanza round, where Kadjebi-Asato SHS answered two riddles correctly, leaving no doubt about their supremacy. By the end of the competition, Kadjebi-Asato SHS had clinched 52 points, comfortably edging out Nkwanta SHS's 25 points and Biakoye Community SHS's 15 points. This victory has secured Kadjebi-Asato SHS the Oti Region’s qualification for the prestigious 2026 National Science and Maths Quiz Championship.
