Anlo SHS sweeps aside Dzodze-Penyi SHS, Tsito SHTS to book 2026 NSMQ ticket

Anlo Senior High School (Anlo SHS) has clinched a spot in the 2026 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) Championship after triumphing over Dzodze-Penyi SHS and Tsito Senior High Technical School (Tsito SHTS) in the Volta Regional Qualifiers. The Anlo SHS team earned an impressive 65 points, outpacing Tsito SHTS, which secured second place with 29 points, and Dzodze-Penyi SHS, who ended the contest with 28 points.

From the start, Anlo SHS demonstrated their superiority by answering questions confidently and capitalizing on bonus opportunities, establishing a strong lead over their rivals. Throughout the contest, Anlo SHS maintained their dominance, consistently widening the gap between themselves and their opponents, leaving little chance for Dzodze-Penyi SHS and Tsito SHTS to stage a comeback.

The team's outstanding performance culminated in their victory of the GOIL Riddle Bonanza, correctly solving three out of four riddles, which ultimately secured their convincing win. As a result, Anlo SHS has been awarded a place at the 2026 NSMQ Championship, where they will represent the Volta Region alongside other qualifying schools in their pursuit of Ghana's most prestigious secondary school academic title.
