Boks name seasoned team to face Italy in Nations Championship
The backline is also a settled unit and features first choice players from those on tour.
Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus has unveiled a 23-man squad for Saturday's Nations Championship test match against Italy in Turin. This match holds significance as it sets the tone for their European tour, with the Championships finals approaching. Lock Salmaan Moerat, the only lock who hasn't played a test game this season, will partner Ruan Nortje in the second row, with Ox Nche, Malcolm Marx and Thomas du Toit forming the back row.
Captain Siya Kolisi, Pieter-Steph du Toit and Jasper Wiese lead the loose trio. The backline lines up with first-choice players from those touring. The bench is heavily weighted towards forwards, with no uncapped players from the touring squad making the match-day squad.
