A video of ousted Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan practicing at the terrace of his house has gone viral on social media. The footage, which surfaced a year before the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2027, shows Rizwan wearing full protective gear and practicing with a cricket ball on a hard marble surface. Fans are joking that he is on track to score at least 7-8 centuries in the upcoming tournament.
Rizwan, who is currently not part of the Pakistan Cricket Team, was involved in controversy during Pakistan's 2026 tour of England after his mobile phone was confiscated as part of an inquiry into alleged links to online betting and gambling. The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) questioned Rizwan and conducted a forensic examination of his phone, but his petition to challenge the jurisdiction was dismissed. The ICC's Anti-Corruption Unit is also probing the allegations.
