Health tech startup Clinics On Cloud has successfully raised ₹120 Cr (approximately $12.5 Mn) in its Series A funding round from Model42, the investment arm of UAE-based Enlightened Minds Investments. The additional capital, which valued the company at ₹600 Cr ($63.3 Mn), will be used to enhance the company's AI-driven healthcare capabilities, expand research and development (R&D), and boost the growth of its micro-clinic network.
A significant portion of the funding will also be allocated to strengthen manufacturing capabilities, establish strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, and expand the company's global presence.
Abhay Agarwal, cofounder and CEO of Clinics On Cloud, expressed excitement about the investment opportunity, stating that the funding will enable the company to bring its vision of accessible healthcare to a global audience. Founded in 2018 by Agarwal and his brother Manashrri, Clinics On Cloud manufactures and deploys AI-powered "health ATMs" - portable clinics and mobile medical units that offer point-of-care preventive health screenings and telemedicine consultations.
The startup has already conducted over 3,500 deployments across 200 cities in India and seven other countries, screening more than 1.2 Cr patients. Clinics On Cloud's solutions have served the Indian Army, Navy, and Border Security Force (BSF).
The company now plans to establish the UAE as its global expansion hub, with aspirations to explore new markets in Africa, the US, and Southeast Asia. This funding comes amidst a surge in investor interest in the healthcare technology sector, which is experiencing renewed funding activity driven by AI adoption. In September, smart ring maker Ultrahuman raised $70 Mn to support its integrated healthtech strategy.
In July, AI-powered healthtech startup CARPL.ai secured $10 Mn in its Series A funding round led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC). In the same month, actor Kunal Kapoor joined forces with crowdfunding platform Ketto's cofounders Varun Sheth and Zaheer Adenwala to launch healthtech startup MetaGO. The homegrown Indian healthtech market is projected to become a $37 Bn opportunity by 2030.
