Ahead of the Apple TV 4K's November 13 launch, Apple unveiled an updated tvOS 27.2 build specifically for the fourth-generation model, available for preorder. Last week, Apple introduced tvOS 27.2 alongside its suite of operating system updates, adding features such as a new Shuffle option for screen savers, customizable photo options, and support for American and British Sign Language in select media.
The new Apple TV 4K, priced at $299, boasts several enhancements including Siri AI integration, built-in far-field microphones for hands-free commands, and a new surround sound feature with four HomePods supporting the speakers. The new Siri Remote, equipped with Precision Finding, will assist users in locating it. Its backward compatibility ensures functionality with previous Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD models.
