It: Welcome to Derry Drops News Episode To Celebrate Halloween
There's a new special episode of It: Welcome to Derry for you to watch on HBO Max this Halloween
It: Welcome to Derry delighted fans with an unannounced Halloween special, titled A Story of Derry, which debuted on HBO Max at midnight. Set in the past, the 30-minute episode follows a group of children exploring the Western Woods, encountering an ancient spirit linked to Pennywise and Stephen King's horror universe. Directed by Tazbah Chavez and written by Cherie Dimaline and Jasmyne Flournoy, the special serves as a prequel to Andy Muschietti's It films.
Though the second season's release date remains unknown, the show's creators confirmed plans for further It: Welcome to Derry content after the first season's overwhelming success. The first season, which focused on Derry, Maine in the 1960s, and Andy Muschietti's two It movies are all available on HBO Max for viewers to enjoy this Halloween.
