Johor Bahru, Oct 27 — In a tragic three-vehicle crash on the Johor Bahru-Gelang Patah-Pendas Road, two motorcyclists lost their lives early yesterday morning. Iskandar Puteri District Police Chief ACP Radin Ramlan Radin Taha reported that around 7:20 am, a car carrying a driver and two passengers was speeding towards Lima Kedai on a wet and slippery road.
The car reportedly lost control while navigating a bend, veered into the opposite lane, and collided with two motorcycles en route from Gelang Patah. Both motorcyclists, aged 34 and 50, sustained severe head and leg injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Their bodies were transported to Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Bahru for post-mortems.
The car driver and passengers reportedly suffered minor head, face, and leg injuries. The incident is being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Radin Taha appealed for any witnesses or members of the public with relevant information to come forward to aid the investigation.
