Two motorcyclists killed in three-vehicle crash on Johor Bahru-Gelang Patah road

Johor Bahru - Two motorcyclists lost their lives in a crash involving three vehicles on the Johor Bahru-Gelang Patah-Pendas Road early yesterday. Iskandar Puteri District Police Chief ACP Radin Ramlan Radin Taha reported that around 7.20 am, a car driven by an individual and carrying two passengers was heading towards Lima Kedai.

The car reportedly lost control while navigating a bend on a wet and slippery road, swerving into the opposing lane and colliding with two motorcycles traveling from the Gelang Patah direction. The two motorcyclists, aged 34 and 50, succumbed to their severe head and leg injuries at the scene. Their bodies were taken to Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Bahru for post-mortems.

The car driver and passengers sustained minor head, face, and leg injuries. The incident is being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, and authorities urge anyone with information to come forward to aid the investigation.
