During a campaign event in South Carolina, US President Donald Trump faced violent attacks from supporters in the audience. Trump remarked, "He got hit pretty hard" after one of the troublemakers fell to the ground in the crowd. Another viewer on Fox News footage was seen repeatedly hitting the man. "That was great," Trump exclaimed.
He then inquired, "Who's the guy who landed that punch?" Disruptive behavior began early, similar to a previous appearance in North Carolina where attendees were quickly removed by authorities. Footage also showed a second incident where a viewer physically assaulted a young man who had already been removed by security. Trump campaigned for the Republican Senate candidate, Darline Graham, in South Carolina.
In less than two weeks, the United States will hold mid-term elections in which the Republicans aim to defend their slim majority in Congress.
