Real Madrid rout Leipzig to continue perfect European start
The 4-1 win extended their winning run to four games across all competitions, boosting morale ahead of Sunday's Clasico against rivals Barcelona.
Real Madrid dominated RB Leipzig in a 4-1 Champions League victory on Wednesday, extending their perfect start to European competitions. Bernardo Silva put Madrid ahead with a close-range finish in the second half, capitalizing on a well-placed pass from Arda Guler. Kylian Mbappe added a second goal before halftime, showcasing his lethal finishing ability.
Tidiam Gomis pulled one back for Leipzig, but French forward Diomande sealed the win with a powerful volley late in the game, completing Madrid's record-extending streak. The result comes after Leipzig's only goal came from a defensive error, highlighting the mismatch between the two sides. Mourinho's tactics, including starting Vinicius on the left flank and benching Diomande, paid off as Madrid maintained their dominance in European football.
