Apple's first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, launches at S$3,099, making it the most expensive iPhone to date. The device comes with a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner OLED screen, which is 50% larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max. The internal screen boasts a matte finish, reducing reflections and glare for improved viewing and reading experiences.

The iPhone Duo features a titanium frame with a mirror finish and incorporates Apple's Ceramic Shield technology, providing excellent protection against scratches and dust. It uses the IP68 water and dust resistance rating, allowing it to withstand immersion in more than 1m of water for over 30 minutes.

The device uses Apple's most powerful mobile chip, the A20 Pro, which employs a custom vapor chamber and a heat pipe within the hinge to maintain optimal performance. The phone's unique design incorporates rounded edges and a hinge that conceals a crease when unfolded, creating a seamless user experience. The phone is optimized for right-handed use, with touch ID on the power button and a Camera Control button for quick camera access.

With the A20 Pro chip, the iPhone Duo delivers peak performance for extended periods. The phone's operating system is designed to fit its rounded edges, placing most controls within easy reach of the thumb. However, left-handed users may find reaching certain buttons challenging. Despite this, the phone's curves and smooth unfolding process make it comfortable to use.

Apple has added a foldable mode for the iPhone Duo, allowing users to operate the device as a notepad, sketchpad, or document annotator using the Apple Pencil. The phone fits comfortably in a pocket, being slightly smaller than the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max when folded. The crease is almost invisible when unfolded, and the phone offers various features, such as multitasking, FaceTime call enhancements, and a Smart Take camera function for hands-free selfies.
