Islamia University Bans TikTok and Other Social Media Apps on Campus

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has imposed a ban on TikTok, SnackVideo, and other social media applications on its premises after receiving complaints about unauthorized recording and sharing of videos without students' consent. This decision was made by the university's Directorate of Student Affairs, aiming to safeguard the privacy and dignity of female students.

The administration was prompted to take action following reports of individuals filming female students without their permission and subsequently uploading these videos to social media platforms. In response, the university has restricted the use of TikTok, SnackVideo, and other social media apps on campus. The disciplinary committee will handle cases involving the creation or dissemination of inappropriate content.

Anyone found violating these restrictions will face disciplinary action in accordance with university regulations.
