Nanded, October 18 - The inter-collegiate youth festival Dnyanteerth-2026 held at Science College in Nanded showcased the creativity and talent of college students through various competitions.
Three competitions were held at the Smita Patil stage, each highlighting the artistic abilities and environmental consciousness of the young participants. The first event was a clay modelling competition based on the theme 'Family'. Thirty participants transformed 1.25 kg of Shadu clay, additional dry clay, thick cardboard, and waste paper into sculptures depicting family members, be it human, animal, or bird. Their sculptures demonstrated a profound understanding of family bonds, affection, and togetherness.
The second competition was a rangoli competition, which drew 55 students. These young artists utilized vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and creative designs to transform the college premises into a colorful display of youthful imagination. Each rangoli creation reflected the participants' artistic sensibilities and individual interpretations, adding to the festive atmosphere of the youth festival.
The third competition, creative assemblage, attracted 33 participants who demonstrated the potential of waste to best. By combining observation, imagination, and practical skills, students transformed discarded materials into attractive and meaningful creations. This competition brought the concept of 'waste to best' to life, providing a platform for students to explore creativity through recycled materials.
