Rival Watch: Nuno Mendes to miss Champions League clash with Barcelona & Lamine Yamal
The defender is injured.
Paris Saint-Germain have announced that defender Nuno Mendes will miss the upcoming Champions League match against Barcelona due to a left thigh injury sustained in last weekend's game against RC Strasbourg Alsace. Mendes is considered a crucial player for the Champions League winners and has faced tough opponents like Lamine Yamal before.
In his absence, former Barcelona defender Lucas Digne may replace Yamal for the Tuesday night clash. Digne, who spent two years at Camp Nou previously and had stints at Everton and Aston Villa, joined PSG in the summer transfer window.
