Paris Saint-Germain's Nuno Mendes is expected to miss the upcoming Champions League match against Barcelona due to a left thigh injury, the club has announced. The Portuguese defender sustained the injury during PSG's 3-1 victory over Strasbourg on Saturday, as confirmed by L Equipe. Medical examinations on Sunday have substantiated the severity of the injury, with Mendes ruled out for several weeks.
The 86th-minute substitution indicates the extent of his involvement in the match. Coach Luis Enrique remains optimistic about finding suitable replacements, considering players like Lucas Digne, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Lucas Hernandez, and João Neves, who have previously stepped into his shoes due to various circumstances.
