Nicola backs Adams after match-winning Napoli goal

Venezia's coach Davide Nicola has expressed confidence in Nigerian striker Akor Adams, predicting further improvement following his match-winning goal against Napoli. Adams scored the decisive goal in the 49th minute, securing Venezia's first Serie A points of the season after a six-match losing streak. This marked Nicola's first match in charge, replacing Giovanni Stroppa.

Nicola emphasized that he avoids focusing on individual players, but he recognized Adams' "crazy margins for improvement" and his integral role in the team. After the match, Adams expressed gratitude to Nicola, stating that he has much to learn and praised the coach's guidance on intensity, defensive organization, and transitions.

The young striker's performance, coupled with goalkeeper Filip Stanković's solid play, provided a boost for Venezia as they strive for more consistency under their new leadership.
