Malema takes a swipe at Zille over ‘Gusheshe’ spinning
Malema says EFF’s mayoral candidate for Joburg is far better than DA's candidate Zille
Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema has taken aim at DA candidate Helen Zille over the celebration of a 'Gusheshe' during the Nasrec Expo centre rally. The contentious term, slang for a BMW 325iS, has come under scrutiny as voters prepare to cast their ballots for Johannesburg's mayoral position in the upcoming local government elections.
Malema argued that the focus should be on addressing pressing issues such as food insecurity and healthy living, rather than on flamboyant displays that offer no tangible benefit to the community. He praised his mayoral candidate, Tlaleng Mofokeng, for her education and community engagement, questioning whether celebrating a 'Gusheshe' can improve the lives of Johannesburg's residents.
