Euroclear, a major European financial market infrastructure, is led by Valerie Urbain, who has been in charge since May 2024. Under her leadership, Euroclear has made significant strides in expanding its presence in Spain through the acquisition of 90% of Inversis from Banca March. This acquisition complements Euroclear's strategy of growth and provides a broader offer of services.

Euroclear aims to increase its volume of transactions on investment funds and ETFs, catering to the growing demand among investors for these products. The acquisition of Inversis also allows Euroclear to expand geographically into Portugal and Italy. By becoming majority shareholders in Inversis, Euroclear plans to enhance its technological standards, resilience, cyber security, and regulatory compliance. This will enable Euroclear to offer higher reliability, technology, and volume to Spanish clients.
