Dreame’s self-heating travel espresso machine is a winner

Dreame, a company known for its robot vacuums and hair styling products, has recently launched a new portable espresso machine called the Ecceluxe Go. This compact brewer is a worthy addition to the wide array of travel-friendly coffee makers on the market, such as the AeroPress and Wacaco Nanopresso. Unlike other machines, the Ecceluxe Go has the unique feature of heating the water itself, eliminating the need for a camping stove or kettle for a single drink.

Powered by a small Li-ion battery and compact heating elements, this machine can brew a single shot of espresso using a minimal amount of water. The Ecceluxe Go comes in a stylish carry case containing three adapters for brewing Nespresso Classic, Dolce Gusto, ESE, and freshly ground beans. Each adapter is attached to the brewer, and a small water reservoir with fill lines is visible through the top of the device.

The only control is a touch-sensitive LED display that can be powered on by pressing it for three seconds. The user can then choose between two programs, P1 for cold or ambient water and P2 for heated water. Once the user selects a program, the machine's internal sensor will display the water temperature on its screen, which takes a few minutes to heat up.

After the water is hot, it is forced through the chosen coffee preparation, and the user can enjoy a delicious espresso shot, wherever they are. While Dreame has not announced a release schedule for the Ecceluxe Go in the UK, the machine is set to arrive in the US, Portugal, and Spain by the end of the year.
