Barcelona defender Eric Garcia and Jules Kounde have both suffered injuries ahead of crucial matches later this month. Spanish centre-back Garcia is expected to miss both games against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and Real Madrid in La Liga due to a thigh injury. He is projected to be out for three to four weeks. Right-back Kounde suffered an ankle sprain and could miss the upcoming trip to face PSG on Tuesday, though he may still be available for the Clasico against Real Madrid on Sunday, October 25, depending on the injury's progress.
Both players ended Barcelona's 5-2 win over Real Betis in La Liga on Saturday with discomfort. PSG, meanwhile, announced that Portuguese left-back Nuno Mendes will be sidelined after picking up a knock during their Ligue 1 win at Strasbourg.
