Law student pens down concise history of AIADMK
The writer says he relied on the news reports published in The Hindu for verifying information that he came across
A 19-year-old law student from Tamil Nadu, Sanjay Senthilnathan, has penned a concise history of the AIADMK, the state's longest-serving political party. Titled 'The Dravidian Phoenix - The Inside Story of Tamil Nadu’s Longest-Ruling Party,' the book is only 114 pages long, making it accessible for younger readers. Senthil, who has always been interested in politics since his school days, decided to write the book to provide a comprehensive overview of the AIADMK's history, welfare programs, and achievements.
The party's influence on Tamil Nadu's politics has been significant, and Senthil aimed to shed light on this aspect, rather than focusing solely on the personal aspects of the party's leaders. He relied on news reports from The Hindu for verification and consulted with AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami and youth wing leader V.P.B. Paramasivam for research.
