Hamzah: Wawasan wants to defend seats won under PN in Melaka
JASIN: Perikatan Nasional (PN) wants to defend the seats it won in the previous Melaka election, said Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan) president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.
Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan) president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin stated that his party wants to defend the seats it won in the previous Melaka election, drawing parallels with Perikatan Nasional (PN) wanting to defend the seats it secured. Speaking at a press conference, Hamzah emphasized that Wawasan is open to discussing seat swaps with the Barisan Nasional (BN) if they have seats they want the party to contest.
However, he made it clear that defending their won seats is Wawasan's primary goal. The party's stance on the number of seats they would contest in Melaka remains unclear, with speculation suggesting they might contest only one state seat, Paya Rumput. The final decision on Wawasan's participation in the Melaka election will be announced after the court delivers its decision on October 22.
