Apple's French regulatory website has unexpectedly listed a Smart Folio accessory for an unreleased iPad mini, suggesting a new version of the popular tablet may be on the way. The case's model number, A3632, differs from existing iPad mini models, indicating it could be a significant update. The listing, unveiled recently alongside iPhone 18 Pro accessories, hints at design changes to the upcoming device, though no specific specifications have been disclosed.
The current iPad mini 6 and 7 share the same Smart Folio, and no new one had been released since 2021. If the new Smart Folio is indeed for the iPad mini 8, it would likely feature an OLED display and improved water resistance, with a potential launch date of October 27 or 28. The device is expected to debut alongside an OLED MacBook Pro.
