Clutch Scoops delves into the latest NBA extension updates and early predictions for the 2026-27 season. The 2026-27 NBA season commences on October 20, with teams rushing to finalize extension agreements with their players. Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors players Payton Pritchard and Brandin Podziemski have secured new contracts, but Brandon Miller and Cason Wallace's situations remain unclear.
In the Eastern Conference, the defending champions, the New York Knicks, have postponed all extension discussions and plan to address these matters later in the 2026-27 season. This decision may lead to internal friction for the Knicks. ClutchPoints' NBA insider Brett Siegel and NBA reporter Tomer Azarly provide a comprehensive analysis of the most recent NBA intel, including ongoing contract extension negotiations and updates on Kristaps Porzingis's health status.
The duo also discuss early award races such as MVP, Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Player, and more.
