One of BookTok's romantasy favorites, "Fourth Wing," has found its lead actors in Esther McGregor and Emilio Sakraya. McGregor, known for her role in "We Were Liars," will play the character Violet Sorrengail. Sakraya, who has appeared in "Those About To Die" and "Warrior Nun," will play Violet's counterpart, Xaden Riorson.
The TV adaptation of Rebecca Yarros' book series has secured a series order at Prime Video, with executive producer Michael B. Jordan on board. The creators behind "The Haunting of Hill House" are set to oversee the series as showrunner and executive producer, Meredith Averill. The first episode of the series will be directed by "Westworld" showrunner Lisa Joy.
In the series, 20-year-old Violet Sorrengail was destined to enter the Scribe Quadrant, but her mother has different plans for her. Her mother, a commanding general, orders Violet to join the hundreds of candidates competing to become the elite dragon riders.
