The Ukrainian government has expanded the state assistance program for installing autonomous power sources in apartment buildings, which was previously available in Kyiv, Kyiv region and Kharkiv region, to Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Poltava and Sumy regions, Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky said.
The Ukrainian government has recently expanded the SvitloDIM energy program, which provides assistance for installing autonomous power sources in apartment buildings, to four additional regions. Previously available in Kyiv, Kyiv region, and Kharkiv region, the program has now been extended to Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Poltava, and Sumy regions, according to Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky.
Applications for the program can be submitted by homeowner associations, apartment building managers, and housing construction and maintenance cooperatives. The program aims to ensure the continuous operation of essential infrastructure, including lighting, water supply, heating, communications, and elevators, during power outages.
Initially launched on January 28, 2026, the program has provided financial assistance ranging from UAH 100,000 to UAH 300,000 to co-owners for purchasing autonomous power sources, ensuring availability of electricity, water, heating, communications, and elevator operation during outages. As of July 22, the program had funded more than 2,442 apartment buildings, with a total expenditure exceeding UAH 610 million.
Out of the 4,205 applications received, 68% were submitted by homeowner associations, 22% by apartment building managers, and 10% by maintenance cooperatives. So far, over UAH 560 million has been transferred for the purchase of equipment necessary to maintain essential infrastructure in the participating apartment buildings.
