Sarawak Education Dept: Schools open tomorrow, outdoor activities halted if API tops 100

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education recently celebrated the achievements of 63 private schools and kindergartens that received the prestigious "My Right is White" Award for the third consecutive year. The award, given to institutions that maintain violation-free records and demonstrate excellence and commitment over three years, recognizes outstanding school practices and responsible governance.

Dr. Rania Yousry Mohamed, Director of the Administration of Private Schools and Kindergartens, highlighted the significance of this milestone, marking the completion of the first cycle in the award's history. This year, 207 schools and kindergartens were honored, up from 166 last year, reflecting the growing awareness of institutional standards and excellence.

The award ceremony recognized not only the 63 recipients but also those who earned a "White Right" shield and the 99 institutions awarded certificates of appreciation. Dr. Yousry Mohamed explained that the award is based on stringent criteria, including a record free of violations or warnings, accurate dealings, responsive service, and positive relationships with parents and the community.

The Ministry's emphasis on clear standards and high-quality education aims to foster a safe and stable learning environment while promoting collaboration between the Ministry and educational institutions. Dr. Yousry Mohamed thanked all stakeholders for their dedication to upholding the standards and ensuring a learning environment that inspires confidence and trust within the community.
