GES asks teachers to check status of 2026 promotion applications on October 15

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has instructed Regional Directors of Education to inform 2026 promotion exam participants about the status of their applications via an official online portal starting October 15, 2026. In a notice issued on October 14, 2026, the GES stated that all applicants must visit the portal to receive updates on their individual applications.

Signed by Munawaru Issahaque, Deputy Director-General responsible for Quality and Access, on behalf of the Director-General, the directive mandates Regional Directors to ensure the information reaches every eligible applicant promptly. The Service has also requested the directors to utilize proper administrative channels to spread the notice and guarantee adherence to the given deadline.

Applicants can verify their promotion application status through the link https://bit.ly/statuschecker2026. The GES emphasized the urgency of the directive and appealed for the cooperation of Regional Directors to ensure the smooth execution of the promotion exercise.
