Business : AmanahRaya Investment Management Temporarily Suspends Three Funds

KUALA LUMPUR: AmanahRaya Investment Management temporarily halted subscriptions, redemptions, and switching of units in three of its funds due to heightened credit risk and rising redemption requests. The suspension of the AmanahRaya Syariah Trust Fund, AmanahRaya Syariah Income Fund, and AmanahRaya Unit Trust Fund took effect yesterday.

ARIM explained that the action was taken to comply with regulatory requirements, address liquidity constraints, safeguard unitholders' interests, and prevent the sale of assets at reduced values that could diminish the value of investors' holdings. The management stated that they would regularly review the suspension in consultation with the respective fund trustees and communicate any material updates through official notices and authorized communication channels.

ARIM emphasized that the suspension pertains only to the three affected funds and did not indicate an issuer default or realized investment loss. They assured unitholders that the management remains committed to responsible fund management and the interests of all investors.
