Astros officially part ways with manager Joe Espada after three seasons
Espada follows former GM Dana Brown out as Houston prepares to reshape its baseball leadership.
The Houston Astros have officially parted ways with their manager, Joe Espada, after three seasons. Espada, who led the team to two division titles, will not return to the dugout next season as he was in the final year of his contract. The Astros elected not to offer him a new deal, likely due to his lack of success in the postseason.
Despite his positive contributions to the organization, including serving as a bench coach for six seasons and representing the Astros and Houston community positively, the team has decided to move on.
