Sri Lanka has unveiled their 15-man squad for the forthcoming Test series against Pakistan, with Pathum Nissanka set to return if he clears fitness checks. Kusal Mendis will captain the side in the World Test Championship clash, with the first Test scheduled for November 9-13 in Rawalpindi, followed by the second Test in Lahore from November 17-21.
Nissanka, absent from Sri Lanka's August India tour due to a wrist injury, has been selected but needs to prove his fitness before the opening match. Dilshan Madushanka and Eshan Malinga have earned their places back, while opener Lahiru Udara remains out despite a recent 188 against the West Indies. Notably, wicketkeeper-batter Niroshan Dickwella has been omitted from the squad.
Currently ranked seventh in the World Test Championship, Sri Lanka face off against ninth-placed Pakistan.
