Android 17 officially lands on Nothing Phone (3)
Tons of new features and a refined look
Nothing has officially released the stable Android 17 update for its flagship Phone (3) device. According to 9to5Google, the update is delivered via Nothing OS 5.0 and follows a prior beta program. Android Police reports that a beta for the Phone (3) was released in August.
The Nothing OS 5.0 update includes a redesigned Launcher, a Micrographics clock face, a refreshed design system, and deeper personalisation. Other features include smoother performance and improved Essential AI tools. 9to5Google notes that Phone (3) owners can install the update through the system update section in their settings.
Nothing expects the update to expand to other devices in the coming months. 9to5Google reports that the company remains on schedule for its original rollout plan, which includes stable updates through mid-January 2027.
